In 1967 Gum Base Co. was established as a strategic production unit of Perfetti.
In 1994 Gum Base Co. founded its Asian business unit, Gum Base Shanghai, which manufactures and distributes gum base throughout the Asia region.
In 2000 Gum Base Co. identified a new concept liable to revolutionise the world of chewing gum: gums made from a mix of gum base and anti-caking ingredients, the so called ‘Powder Gum’. Since then Gum Base Co. has also been a producer not only of gum base but also of compressed powder gums.
Over the years the company has gradually earned the trust and loyalty of a large number of customers who produce gum products all over the world.
Today Gum Base Co. is one of the world’s leading companies for the production of the ingredient bearing the same name and exports 70% of its production to over 90 countries throughout the world.
